The castle was the one thing I most wanted to do, since I didn't get the chance last time I was here. I'm glad I waited, I must've spent a good 3 1/2 hours there.
The tourist office door is actually pretty neat. I knew that people had turned it into a shrine, but I wasn't quite expecting what it was!
And the water sculpture was on when I got the bay, but off as I was leaving, so I'm not sure what dictates its on- or off-ness, but its rather impressive either way.
Yeah the tourist office door looked neat ! but it's sad when you think about it not being there anymore ... In torchwood's world. Did you read the things the people posted?
But where is the tourist office door located in relation to the rest of the hub? Do we actually know? Cause maybe the tourist office and door are still there (maybe a bit banged up), just not leading anywhere... Which is also pretty sad.
I read some of the postings. In the original pictures, I can zoom in far enough to read a lot of them too.
Your pictures are wonderful! The castle ones reminds me of El Morro in San Juan. Almost the same kind of structure in regards of building style. Love the bay shots and of course Ianto's shrine. I'm so glad the fans have kept if up and whoever is in charge of it haven't taken any of it down.
Yay Cardiff!! The castle looks amazing, plus that red dragon made out of flat metal pieces is really cool. It's nice and striking against the well-kept really green lawn :D
Love the peacoat ;)
Ohmy, that fan-created memorial is just beautiful <3
The castle is amazing. I spent hours just wandering around and experiencing it. And I loved the dragons!
The coat is actually brand new. My mom decided that my wonderfully comfy leather jacket wasn't warm enough, even with the way I layer, so she decided to take me coat shopping. Of course, then I had to convince her that I didn't want something boring, and I ended up with that one. Nice and warm, if a bit complicated to zip and button and belt.
The Ianto-shrine is stunning. Next time I see you all, I'll have to bring my laptop with the close up picture, where you can actually zoom in and see what some of the papers say.
Wonderful photos! I love castles, and this one looks great! Hope I can visit it myself one day.
Seems like you have a fantastic time in Cardiff! :) Thx for posting pics for us!
The pic of the tourist office made my jaw hit the floor. I hadn't heard about this, and I really didn't expect this - people turned it into a shrine!! This is so amazing and touching and so sad at the same time... wow.
The castle is just beautiful! And Cardiff is amazing. I don't want to leave tomorrow, although I know that London is awesome too.
You hadn't heard about the Ianto shrine? I'd heard about it on one of the communities, but I didn't know what to expect. And certainly not that. But its absolutely fantastic!
The castle was amazing. Its the first one I've ever been to, and now I want to go to more!
Cardiff was fantastic the last time I was there also, but there were so many things I wanted to do that I didn't get the chance to then. And now I think its even better!
I like some different castles, I only really went to half ruins/castles in England a few years ago. But I went to some good castles in Japan! I want to see that one you went to now though!
I REALLY LIKE those top two pictures!! I really need to get a new camera and go to Cardiff and take pictures!! Really bad!! I miss you! I hope you're having a great time!

Also: Wow at the pic of the door to the hub! Cool.. and sad.
Also I've been to Cardiff twice now and both times the water on the errr metal thing (sculpture?) is always turned off.

Is that a Ianto shrine at the tourist office? I love it. ♥
(I also love your coat.)
So I'm planning a trip to London and Cardiff with a friend of mine. October 2010, baby! You'll have to tell me all the best places to go. :)
