I think the meme is broken.

I'm from northern Delaware, and I got the same result as you did - southern accent. Not even close. Though similarly to your case, I imprinted on Brit accents as a child. I wonder if the meme authors just don't recognize northeastern accents that aren't hardcore Boston or Philly or Bawlmer or NYC.
