I've decided to do some livejournal spamming today. Yeah, icons, con report, and now a real post. Sort of. It's more of an, "I'm bored in Server Virtualisation class, so I decided to catch up on lj."

Anyways, last minute call for holiday cards! I'm on a roll sending them out this year, so if you want one and you haven't told me yet, please ask! I'm having fun with them.

Ramble number two. I'm on facebook now. (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001808185037) Yep, after having one, deciding I didn't use it so why should I keep it, I've decided it's time to open up a new account. There was actually more thought to it than that, but that's the gist.

Three. I'm bored. Today's class has been a lot of sitting around waiting for things to install. And now that everything is installed and working, I'm sitting around waiting for everyone else to get to the same point. And I've finished the comic that's in my bag. I'm considering pulling out a magazine. Not good.

On to four. I'm starting to enjoy Top Gear: US. I really didn't like the first episode, but I was convinced to give it another try. And it's growing on me. I'm also remembering just how awkward the beginnings of UK Top Gear were, so that gives me hope too.

Five. The [livejournal.com profile] torchwood_ny holiday party was the weekend after Chicago Tardis, and it was a lot of fun! I got there late, since I had to work until 5, but once I got there, we walked across the parking lot to get dinner, watched Gareth's Sherlock Holmes (or at least I started to), and had a nice long conversation with [livejournal.com profile] mashfanficchick in the lobby. Our Christmas tree had absolute brilliant ornaments, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] mashfanficchick, [livejournal.com profile] aztiluna13, and [livejournal.com profile] silver_chipmunk.

The pictures aren't great because I took them with my cell phone, but they're still pretty cool."

[livejournal.com profile] mashfanficchick came home with me Sunday afternoon, and we spent a few days hanging out and getting to enjoy seeing each other for more than a few hours at a time. We watched one of the commentaries on my Sherlock DVDs, I dragged her to my Active Directory class, and we forgot to go to sleep early one night because we got distracted watching the Top Gear Bolivia episode. All in all, so much fun!

And now I'm going to stop rambling, because I think I should probably pay attention to class.

You forgot the part where we accidentally convinced a ton of people (both in stores and on your Twitter) that we were an expectant couple, due to our re-engagement just before going clothes shopping for John. But, yes, tons and tons of fun! (Even though I seem to have gotten your cold, for, like, the first time ever. *sniffles*)

I did forget that, didn't I? It may have continued the confusion that we (or me) inadvertently started on twitter.

And I'm sorry you caught my cold. :-( If it makes you feel any better, I think I recaught the damn cold from myself.

Oh, so that's why I felt better for a few days and then less well. It's a magical, two-part cold. Hmm. Too bad I don't look as cute in jammies as New!Ten. *just watched "Christmas Invasion" On Demand, despite the fact that it's going to be on BBCA tomorrow--er, today--at noon*

I need to rewatch the Top Gear Bolivia episode. That's one of my favourites of all time. I still haven't watched the Sherlock commentaries yet, but I'm planning on it.

Your fannish ornaments are brilliant! I especially like the Doctor Who one with the stockings.

I can't take credit for the ornaments, the ideas were all my friends wonderful brains. And you so need to watch the Sherlock commentaries, they're brilliant!
